KANSAS CITY 2019 HOMICIDE #97: MONDAY DOUBLE SHOOTING LEAVES ONE DEAD!!!



Just as we predicted at the outset of this month . . . Violence in Kansas City is spiraling out of control at the end of August as we continue along a record breaking pace for murders this year. The deets on a deadly shooting this morning:

Officers were called just after 2:30 a.m. to the 3100 block of Kensington Avenue on a shooting call. When they arrived on scene, they found a man dead that had been shot in front of a home there.

While officers were officers in route, they received a report of a vehicle that crashed in front of a fire station at 31st Street and Indiana Avenue. Inside the vehicle, officers found a man that had also been shot. He was taken to the hospital and expected to survive.

This is the 97TH HOMICIDE so far this year compared to 89 at this time last year.

  4. There are hundreds of illegal,and stolen guns on the street. Its like drugs. And the Drug Dealers and gangs purchase them .And I hate to admit this your readers have it correct .There is anger and The Blacks can't handle it. There has to be an anger management Program set up in the Urban areas. But the people that need it won't attend.

  13. And the "Black Caucus" of the Missouri legislature wants the electeds to discuss authorizing cities to pass their own gun control laws.
    In KCMO the problem isn't guns.
    It's a small minority of a minority population that no respect for much of anything, including human life.
    Continuing willful ignorance of even trying to identify the problem is unlikely to contribute to any progress.
    Proving, once again, that these folks will discuss ANYTHING other than the reality of what's happening in their own community.
    Sad.
    KCMO is well on its way to another 150+ homicide year.
