How Former Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander's PTSD Became A Family Affair

It's not often that a candidate quitting a local mayor's race would get national media attention, but that's exactly what happened last October when Jason Kander announced he was dropping his bid to be Kansas City's chief executive.

  1. I think I am getting PTOOIAJKPTSD.

Post Traumatic Overload On Information About Jason Kander's PTSD.

The symptoms include glazed over eyeballs as I peruse still another feel good moment on TKC, that is probably staged in hopes of reviving his now dormant political career.

We all hope he gets better. Maybe he should stream his next visit to the Psychiatrist (Like Beto) and share his drugs with his soon to be constituents. I'm kinda jumpy today myself.

    1. Can we get some vagisil for this Chuck? He got a little sand in his sensitive parts after this. Should we call you Chuck the cuck?

You got your feelings hurt having to read about something you didn't like. You poor thing.

  5. Can you imagine having a Presidential candidate who had been, by his own admission, suicidal? Tom Eagleton was finished by the revelation of shock treatments. Pander doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of obtaining higher office.

  6. I am so glad we have so many experts on PTSD in the Kansas City area.

Please, I ask you all to sign up and join the other volunteers working with Veterans at the KC VA Center, we can certainly use all your help with the PTSD program. You only have to meet with staff once or twice, then schedule volunteer sessions at a time convenient to you.

Thank you for helping, and I'm sure most of you will do so, despite the fact that most of Tony's readership might think that you are all ignorant and thoughtless anti-American "non-Patriots" who care nothing for our Veterans.

  7. Can you imagine a president who thinks everybody is against him, that he's suffered more than any other president (including the four who have been assassinated) and who spreads paranoid fantasies about his opponents and previous presidents and desperately needs therapy but doesn't realize it?

  8. There are so many people contributing to others with PTSD and helping organizations and efforts to assist them.
And they're doing so without thinking they have to push so hard to get some TV, social media, or media face-time for THEMSELVES almost every day.
The whole Pander PTSD narrative has long ago become stale and even lacking in credibility and constantly trying to use it as a springboard to celebrity and political success is both selfish and inappropriate.
    Pander has made his "point".
    Go away and heal thyself!

  11. Chuck for the win.

Is Kander destined to be the Manchurian First Husband??

  12. Much to be observed looking at half his face at a time.

Cover the other with your hand.

Look at the RH side of his face (LH side of the photo)--his eye appears dead.
    Then the other--calculating.

    Scary.

  13. Fake soldier with fake affliction. Upwardly mobile political opportunist trying to scam his way to higher office. Sadly he disrespects real soldiers that have real issues.

  14. Article quoting Kander:
"So after 11 years of trying to outrun depression and PTSD symptoms, I have finally concluded that it's faster than me," he wrote.

But please note that ALL of this article, and nearly all of the media coverage of Kander following his campaign dropout has focused only on PTSD. What happened to his depression?

The answer? PTSD is deemed "cool" by the news media, whereas depression continues to carry a stigma. Kander's problem, besides corruption and narcissism, is a decades long history of depression, including a genetic predisposition. Until he talks openly about his depression history, he's continuing to play political games.

  15. I like Jason Kander a lot. But this felt like just another political interview and him plotting his comeback. Truth is that the Veterans Community Project he's working on is much more important, that should be the highlight. The great work those people are doing before him and after he finds his next career ambition.

  16. Enough of the Kander’s and their panhandling. Get a real job and quit sucking off public teat. Many people have or have had PTSD, myself included far worse than this parasite. He’s using the media to set the stage for his next political loss and his wife is right behind him pushing all the way. She has visions of living in the whitehouse. They are both jokes, see them for what they are.
