Downtown Kansas City Partying Doesn't Stop After Innocent Woman Gunned Down

Hype inside the loop doesn't take a pause to mourn the victims of gunfire . . . The ponzi scheme party persists no matter fear or concern. Party promo didn't even take a moment of silence as weekend plans are already underway . . . Here's one of many festivities planned:

816 DAY festivities return to Downtown on Friday 8/16

Did you know that 816 DAY is a designated Kansas City holiday? In August 2018, the City Council passed resolution No. 180592 identifying August 16 as Kansas City's newest holiday. It's that special day in August when the date and our area code coincide.

  1. Whoopie. Another non-event where people stand around holding a drink and checking their phones.

  2. Oh no... the party never stops in Kansas City. That’s why all of these outsiders come here. They know that and assume the risks of said partying.

  3. OR - go to Cinderblock in NKC and hoist one to the mess across the River.

    Be prepared to duck, folks!

  4. Was there any urban youth in attendance ? Not a party if you have to get an eye out for urban youth types.

  7. For some reason the girl getting murdered by a stray bullet at first friday last week has really bothered me unlike any other murder. It's horrible and this city is really getting worse and worse because crime has been ignored/minimized for so long for condos, streetcars, and other stupid shit that doesn't add much to the quality of life to long time residents

  8. Party?!?

Standing around out in public, in Killer City, with a beer in your hand as the sun is going down?

You must be out of your mind.

    People get killed doing that.

    All the time.
