Double Back: Fed Buyout Hardball Proves Nobody Wants To Move To Kansas City

We only link this story because it contradicts most of the Visit KC hype which proudly proclaims "best of Midwest" vibrancy & momentum. Take a look:

USDA shrinks buyout packages for employees who won't relocate to Kansas City

(CNN) -- The US Department of Agriculture is shrinking payments offered to employees who applied for buyouts rather than relocate to the greater Kansas City area, according to a document obtained by CNN. The one-time payouts are being reduced from $25,000 to $10,000 because so many workers applied, according to the document.

Wait, what? But we have tremendous momentum and we’re moving forward, what the hell, just because we are top five for murders and worst school district doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t move here, we have so much more to offer...... never mind, the violent and murderous koloreds ruined those things too.

What’s really going on here is:

“How dare you send us to go live out there in flyover country with all those red-State hick redneck Trump voters!”

People who visit Kansas City do for one of 3 reasons, 1-their work forced them to come here, 2-people come back to visit family, 3-we have a ton of train tracks that hobos hop trains to get here because they know our corners are profitable because the city doesnt enforce the "no panhandling" laws! No one comes here because they have never been here before and think this is a great place to visit - they visit because they have a reason too, not because KC is a great destination to go to!!. Now they sell bullet proof back packs for school kids across the country, KCI should require such protection when anyone lands at our current dump of a airport headed for the city.

9:16: Says someone that's never enjoyed any success in life...probably hasn't talked to anyone who lives here...has never visited...and is as closed mined, self centered, and bigoted person that ever roamed the earth. Have a good night!

Surprise, surprise, surprise - sounds like the USDA move is going well, employees have been found, the mission will continue, and the agency will thrive in its new locale. CNN should be redacting their "Trump's going to destroy science" story any day now...

They had a good run. These spoiled employees probably have salaries north of $120k, and now they have to go slug it out in the marketplace and discover that they're really not worth that much.

^^^If you knew dick about dick, you would know north of $120k equates to a much lower salary in the midwest. It's called cost of living dumbshit. Let me guess, you either didn't attend college or barely made it through with a Sociology or Communications degree and now are a salesperson because that's the only skill you could apply those degrees towards? These people probably have STEM degrees that require a level of intelligence you'll never comprehend. Stay in your lane flunky.

Is that picture from Woodstock? That's probably the most stereotypical group of leftist Hillary supporters I've ever seen. Taking another page from the Clinton/Democrat handbook - call'em racists, bigots, misogynists, anti-science, Christians if you don't like what the other side is saying. CNN took the bate. KCTV took the bate. Every media outlet took the bate. Oooooops....turns out a large number of the staff is moving and KC is an ag science hub that likely has a more qualified workforce. Science might survive?!?!? Retractions coming soon?

@8:17 If you knew dick about dick you'd know that the cost of living in Washington D.C. is much higher that Kansas City where that 120K salary will stretch a lot farther. I think the only thing you know about IS dick. Go suck some more.

The photo is misleading. That was not an employee protest, it was Round One of the USDA's annual "Nicest Butt" contest.

8:38 - can you not read asshole. that's the point I was making. North of $120k equates to a much lower salary (for example $80k, $70k, etc.). Take a reading comprehension course twat.

The search for a new site cost $350,000. Taxpayer money. The move will be expensive. Taxpayer money. The incentives for employees to move will cost a lot. Taxpayer money. Incentives provided by city/state will be expensive. Taxpayer money. Now tell me again how this benefits local taxpayers?

Anonymous said...

^^^Local taxpayers are not on the hook for any of that. It's federal money, the same source of funds that helps pay for such necessities as streetcars.

Oh goddamn..8:38 got his geezer skull caved in!!!! Poor bastard thought he was snarky but ran ignorant and got crushed for his efforts!! Good job! Good job!

Still on the script Chimpy? It's ok to try new words once in a while! Only don't be talking like you can hurt anyone, you might have to get moved to a smaller cage with no computer.

Stop flinging poo Chimpy!!! Lol

Those government drones look as unhappy as they can be that they might be relegated to Siberia (whoops, I meant Kansas City).

They heard Sly wanted to consult with them. Not exactly smiles all around.
