Blue Springs Awash In Guns

Youngster arrest report from our 3rd favorite local suburb that's also coping with increasing violence. Checkit:

1 in custody after handgun recovered from parking lot of Blue Springs aquatic center

One person is in custody Wednesday afternoon after a handgun was recovered from the parking lot of the Blue Springs School District Aquatic Center.In a note to parents and guardians, Blue Springs High School Principal Tom Alderman said police received a report of a person with a weapon in the parking lot.After a quick search, the handgun was found and one person was arrested.

I'm surprised this made the news. Everything in the BSSD is usually kept hush, hush like the payouts to the kids families that committed suicide.

The biggest crime in Blue Springs is the salary of the superintendent, Paul Kinder. He retired once and is getting paid as a "consultant" now. With his retirement, salary, car, country club membership, annuity, etc he is bringing in about 600k per year. You won't ever hear about it though.
