USDA Workers Aren't Among Fake News 25 Million Annual Visitors To Kansas City

The current "Best in The Midwest" campaign still claims that 25 MILLION people visit this town annually . . . Meanwhile, this ongoing real life revolt a cowtown move contradicts the public relations campaign . . .

Just 37% of agriculture researchers accept mandatory job transfers to Kansas City from Washington, D.C.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - The Department of Agriculture says fewer than 40% of the researchers whose jobs are being transferred from Washington, D.C., to Kansas City will make the move to the Midwest. U.S. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue announced in June that the USDA would move more than 550 jobs in two research agencies to Kansas City.

  2. To hell with them, as I see it they shouldn't get unemployment benefits either.

  3. But did anyone tell them about THE streetcar and First Fridays in the Crossroads?
And getting blitzed at the P&L District?
Or the fabulous Jazz Museum at 18th and Vine?
Surely their minds could be changed if they were told about the big big new terminal at the airport!
Or maybe they just did some actual research.
Like corporations and convention planners do.

  5. Good 64% less liberal dicks moving into the area. There will be 0% problem finding your replacement.

  6. I'm going to guess that number is consistent with most major corporate reorganizations. Whether KC jobs shipped to Dallas or DC jobs shipped to KC, a lot of people don't want to relocate from the friends/family. The education and research being done in animal and plant science around KC is top notch. There are plenty qualified people for these jobs in this area. The sad part of this story is how it's being politicized by the left - Trump hatred of science, trying to destroy the agency, etc. The reaction of the left is probably the most concerning. There was either a lot of politicization at the agency that liberals are trying to protect or they are trying to further divide the country with their narrative that Trump hates science.

  7. Kansas City is a crumbling shithole. The basic local population is kind of nasty. Even people in faraway DC know it.

  8. 9:34 apparently you don't spend much time outside of KC. It's all relative and KC is not a shit hole.

  9. ^^and yet none of that is true whatsoever. Weird.

  10. None other than the liberal Washington Post just reported that researchers from this agency refused to move to KANSAS.
So even the big-time east coast reporters don't really know where KCMO is!
So much for all of Sly's "selling" the city.
With any luck, the incoming electeds will at least try to "govern" the city.
Not off to a very good start, though, with the new emphasis on yet a new "downtown plan".

  15. USDA should be located in KC or Des Moines or Omaha where actual crops and livestock are raised. Makes no sense to be in Washington DC to begin with. Hire Kansas State, Iowa State and Mizzou agriculture grads who actualy know how to farm to replace the Washington beaucrats.
