Black Leaders Want Jackson County To Give Homeowners More Time To Challenge Property Appraisals
The Jackson County Board of Equalization (BOE) will decide Tuesday whether to yet again extend the deadline for property owners to appeal their reassessments. As of Friday, some 9,500 appeals had been filed with the BOE and staff expected hundreds more before the deadline at close of business Monday.

ReplyDeleteHaHaHa if this isn't the funniest thing ever! No more time tax bills get sent out in November. You have had plenty of time to file your appeal and even get your appraisals done by the bank. You people need to understand voting has consequences so you have gotten exactly what you voted for which is corruption.
Side note. People, if you enter the downtown jackson county courthouse, you can observe freely that is not equipped with a full building automatic fire sprinkler system. It must be retrofitted with one in order to meet code as an existing high rise building. Also it is freely evident that this building lacks adequate egress and is an ADA nightmare. Please think twice before entering the courthouse. The public must demand that civic buildings be safe for all users and that operations and maintenance be properly maintained and their tax dollars used in an accountable fashion.
