TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! KANSAS CITY ANTI-TAX SENTIMENT WORSENS AMID JACKSON COUNTY PROPERTY ASSESSMENT CRISIS!!!

The Jackson County fight over property tax assessments persists and there's no solution in sight as both the BOE and Team Frank seem locked in opposition.

Highlight . . .

INSIDER EXPLANATION: PROPOSAL FOR AN ASSESSMENT HIKE FIX TABLED BECAUSE OF LEGAL THREATS BEHIND THE SCENES!!!

The grudge match at the Courthouse is real. Checking with the Missouri State Tax Commission isn't enough when legal threats start flying. Look for more lawyers to weigh in soon . . .

Meanwhile, a message sent our way offers a perspective that's being overlooked by local media . . .

JACKSON COUNTY TAX ASSESSMENT DRAMA HAS INSPIRED HOME OWNERS TO LOOK MORE CAREFULLY AT THEIR BILLS AND DECRY THE LITANY OF LEVIES!!!

Here's TKC Reader proof and a note sent our way . . .

"Look at this garbage. There are no less than 16 DIFFERENT TAXING AUTHORITIES taking a bite out of homeowners. Some places have even more. There would have been an additional tax if Sly's Pre-K plan would have passed. Fighting bad assessments is only one part of the struggle here . . . We need to start looking about how many groups want to nickle & dime KC homeowners to death. With taxes going higher, the percentages are also adding up. In the future, we need to think of every new property tax as a potential threat that could force some people from their homes."

  1. Sorry to say it but there's nothing but more taxes on the way. Everybody needs their money and "rich" homeowners are the easiest people to go after in kc.

  3. Jackson County and KCMO taxpayers beginning to pay attention to who's in their pockets and for how much?
Long time coming and probably won't last very long.
But no good news for what passes for local government.
Especially given how little the taxpayers get for their money.

  4. Democrat/Socialist tax and spend?

Not even close to what Democrats want Nationally.

KC Is getting a taste of the Socialist benefits that idiots in Washington keep telling us is just gonna be great!!! Our own little, local "New Green Deal" where all of your money goes to the Government, because THEY know what and how to spend it on.

Just shut up, obey and cut the check.

Democrat cities are experiments in a repetitive, ongoing, "Will You Dumb Fucks Ever Learn" nightmare that will not end, because as the middle class becomes more and more outnumbered at the ballot box, the very people that are replacing you, will vote for more and more taxes for Government programs.

It's a sick, sick cycle that kills the middle class, but, who cares? The swells down at City Hall are doing great!! And dumb ass, smug, condescending white ladies are too stupid to understand they are going to kill off any hope of a future for their kids.

  5. Yet the voters of Kansas City are still guilty of voting for streetcars, go-bonds, and the e-tax thinking that the money will magically appear. The are also guilty of not voting all together. You get what you vote for (or don't vote for), now suck it up!

  6. Kansas City property assessments did NOT target the poorest, the assessment went up and down no matter where you lived it was just with no rhyme or reason. Also don't forget you have that GO bond that won't show up until you get your actual bill in Nov. and that thing is compound every year so if you think this year is bad just wait! But YOU KC... voted for that. So you have NO ROOM TO BITCH! You idiot democrats bend over while everyone screws you and you don't read anything. The thing that makes me sick is you IDIOT LIBERALS mess things up for everyone.
    SUCK IT FLIPPING UP!

  7. Tax the Catholic Church. Its a fake religious organization of rapists and child molesters. it should not have tax exempt status. its a ongoing criminal enterprise.

  8. I have no problem with businesses and churches who pay little to no property taxes. Good for them. Their employees do and I'm not going to hate them out of jealousy. It's not like they'd lower our taxes if they were paying a lot too. There will never be enough money to make the city and county happy. That is the lesson

  9. KC residents approved most of these taxes that had come up for a vote. Don't cry now!

  10. If this is not rectified any future taxes for anything are doomed. Get rid of the combat tax, that is a joke.

  15. Temporary restraining order sought in Jackson County property assessment

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -- A lawyer is asking a judge to stop the Jackson County property assessment arguing the process is flawed and enough information has come to light that shows assessments are “wildly inaccurate.”

  16. This is what happens when the special interest groups are allowed to define their own taxing districts and the corrupt KCMO council and mayor approves them.

Suck it up and bend over for the KCMO tax reaming.

Did he write a love letter to that Fraud Squad on his blog? Surely, he's enamored of proud muslim, Omar, the tax-cheat, campaign funds thief, Jew hater, al Qaeda supporter, and immigration fraudster (who married her brother).
