KCPL program encourages customers to turn up thermostat on hot days
A Kansas City Power & Light program encourages customers to turn up their thermostats on hot days."Projections have shown that we are going to reach our peak load, meaning the most electricity that our system can hold, later this afternoon and again tomorrow afternoon," KCP&L spokesman Jeremy McNeive said.McNeive said that if the system goes beyond peak load can cause circuits to blow, causing outages.KCP&L customers who signed up for the Demand Response Incentive Program will see a temperature change during "rush hours" from 4 p.m.
Maybe have them section 8 rat traps turn there's down while they have the windows and front doors open.

ReplyDeleteMaybe if the building codes in the KCMO area supported actually insulating houses worth a shit we wouldn't have to fuck with our thermostats. Anytime this area weather hits extreme heat or cold, the insulation around here is worthless.
