TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! JACKSON COUNTY EXECUTIVE FRANK WHITE REJECTS 'UNFAIRNESS & INEQUITY' OF PROPOSED BOE PROPERTY TAX ASSESSMENT FIX!!!

Here's the very latest news from the ongoing property tax debate along with further detail on the Exec's opposition of a recent plan to lower assessments . . .

Jackson County Executive opposes assessment proposal

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jackson County Executive Frank White, Jr. and his administration staunchly oppose a proposal to be considered tomorrow by the Board of Equalization (BOE) that would set arbitrary caps on valuation increases, regardless of the property’s true value.

“The proposal before the BOE is full of legal issues and undermines the Board’s state-mandated duty to ensure properties are assessed at their true market value,” said Jackson County Executive Frank White, Jr. “The proposal would only create greater unfairness and inequity and property owners need to know that.”

If this proposal passes:

- It will unfairly increase some people’s taxes;

- It will undo significant improvements to establish equity in sales ratios within the County from 2018 to 2019;

- It will limit appropriate valuation increases for all previously undervalued parcels;

- It will place an unfair burden on property owners whose parcels were not previously undervalued

Please see the attached memo provided to the BOE that further outlines the legal issues associated with the proposal.

He makes a better case in the memo. But both sides need to realize that Missouri law says home owners are entitled to a physical inspection before their taxes are increased.

Here's the biggest problem. Frank White isn't talking about a solution to reduce the assessments. That's what everybody wants and what is fair. If he came out and said, he is working to find a remedy to a process that's broken and didn't follow the proper procedures, people might actually support him. Instead he's digging and people are finding faults with his position like the physical inspection requirement.

He is inept, and needs to go.

he's a nigger and he needs to go said...

I agree

In the last game that Frank played, after three strikes he had to head back to the showers.
Just how many strikes does this County Executive game get?

That memo makes perfect sense!

6:24, I do not agree that Missouri law requires an in person, physical inspection. Cite the law you believe does that.

Terrible attempt at damage control.

Too stupid to realize he’s wrong or is there something bigger like he owes somebody a favor??? With incontrovertible evidence that keeps proving he’s a liar..... what’s really going on here?

At their top, city and county government are shamelessly corrupt and stubbornly incompetent.

I'm really glad this has happened so my special friends in Central Hyde Park who can't pay their taxes now will have to sell or watch their house go up on the courthouse steps. You stupid democrats deserve this, and I'm LMAO.

The koloreds don’t like to be told no. Their color and fake cries of racism are wearing people out and sooner rather than later nobody will listen to them anymore.

The whites don't like to pay their fair share of taxes.
