SHOCK!!! KANSAS CITY STAR PARENT COMPANY SUFFERS EPIC 5-YEAR FAIL!!!

As always, our KICK-ASS TKC BLOG COMMUNITY and local denizens think critically about the future of journalism and newspaper publishing.

An AWESOME TKC READER suggested news link puts it all together:

Investors Who Bought McClatchy Shares Five Years Ago Are Now Down 95%

Deets:

"The McClatchy Company (NYSEMKT:MNI) shareholders should be happy to see the share price up 16% in the last month. But will that repair the damage for the weary investors who have owned this stock as it declined over half a decade? Probably not. Like a ship taking on water, the share price has sunk 95% in that time. It's true that the recent bounce could signal the company is turning over a new leaf, but we are not so sure. The real question is whether the business can leave its past behind and improve itself over the years ahead."

And so, whilst some are calling a recent stock surge a "comeback" . . . Others remain skeptical about the fortunes of a biz dedicated to pushing old news & partisan hackery via dead-trees on the public that's usually far too busy looking at their phones to notice anything at all.

  6. Yet they keep the editorial board... big wasted expense that divides the public every time it opens its big mouth.
They are KC’s dunce... kinda like AOC... mocked and laughed at in corporate America.. yet they don’t know it.

  11. How stupid is it to alienate approximately half of your potential customer base by spouting only left-wing views? Is it any wonder that so many people have quit subscribing? Much better from a business viewpoint to play both sides of the liberal-conservative coin.

  12. Remember when your Money talked ? Gotta wonder why the media and all super rich companies choose to alienate 72% of the people by pushing sexual immorality and their twisted form of "justice". Why are shopping malls and neighborhoods being built when they know they will only succumb to crime within 3 years. Why are the best citizens in the country being discussed as the "real criminals". Why does Nike, women's soccer, NFL, etc, choose to lose upwards of 65% of their biz by promoting evil agendas ? What company could stand to lose half of their customer base even for a month ? The Devil himself has enough of a foothold that the entire game is rigged now. No loss of revenue can put a dent into his system. He has always had a lot if pull, but in our post-modern world, where truth is lost, the quickening occurs.
