JACKSON COUNTY, MO (KCTV) -- A record number of Jackson County homeowners are appealing their property taxes. About of 10% of all homeowners have filed some sort of appeal. More than 21,000 people filed an informal appeal. More than 9,000 people have filed a formal appeal.

  1. Bet there are more people who's assessments were to low and and of course they won't appeal since the others will pick up the slack/tabs. And of course the 25 year tax abatement crowds in their new McBurbaHomes don't have to worry either.

  2. The mansion over on Independence Ave only went up 50K while others in Hyde Park went up over 100K for smaller homes and both areas are high crime. There was no rhyme or reason for the tax assessment this year. This is what you get when you keep voting the way you are. Don't forget that Go Bond get tacked on too. Without an appraisal you aren't going to get lowered.

Frank was an ass for raising the majority of peoples taxes by 14.9%, they did that knowing it was pushing the maximum amount, he could’ve done this in increments but he’s too damn greedy, he’s a prick that needs to be smacked down. Here’s to praying the state makes it right. Would Nicole Galloway get involved with her party’s mess? She usually only goes after Republicans.
