As long as the US Attorney's Office is hanging around how about looking at the: Streetcar Fraud, the Convention Hotel Fraud, the Airport Fraud, the Incentives Fraud, and The Art In The Parks Fraud.... you've got retirement jobs right there.

So the investigators spent 3 years chasing down a 58k theft while almost weekly 12th and Oak steals more than that from the taxpayers. So where is that investigation at?

They didn't have to lie about the signs. There are plenty of damaged or missing signs to keep a crew busy from morning till night. How dumb.

Yup! Hyperblogal @ 7:16PM understands whats going on and let me be even more specific... Investigate Troy Schulte! You don't give $1 BILLION of incentives (tax breaks) to Cerner without getting anything in return, give $50 million in cash and land from the city's balance sheet to a private hotel developer, rig a NO-BID airport for the local Burns & Mac boys and propose building an empty office building with tax payer funds by being above board, honest and expect everyone to believe you are living off "just" your official salary? Wake up!! Come on, people! Investigate Troy Schulte. In the meantime, cut your losses, give him his golden parachute and kick his hefty wide ass to the curb, let him find another city he can manage into debt.

Feds should investigate the $12 million-dollar, Chicago, no bid contract to "improve customer service" in the Water Department. No changes or improvements were ever proclaimed by any of the media.
What did happen is that a flood of mailings began coming from Chicago and other locales wanting every KCMO property owner to buy water line insurance from a private company. The last several years the letters have been official looking letters from the City Manager. Why was Troy Schulte promoting private insurance? Only conclusion is that the $12 million was used to setup private companies to sell this insurance. Who are the silent partner/owners of this for-profit company?
