Deadline for property assessment appeals looming

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The clock is ticking for residents their property tax assessments in Jackson County. The deadline is Monday at 5 p.m. the county board of equalization decides at a special meeting that day to extend it.

  1. I have to side with the county on the tax assessments being so high. Some people on the west side paid over 500K for houses that were fixer uppers and not livable, so what did they think was going to happen? Not to mention the idiot was from California so that says a lot too. Same with Northeast, and Midtown.
