Morning storm prompts water rescues on KCMO flooded street

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Wednesday's morning storm raced through the metro, packing a punch. Strong winds brought down power lines leaving thousands in the dark. Three people had to be rescued from two vehicles that became submerged on North Chouteau Trafficway near North Belmont Boulevard in Kansas City, Missouri, on Wednesday.

Earlier today, journalists, influencers, civic leaders and muckety-mucks got a sneak peek at the renovations during a press conference at Corinthian Hall-the first of five Beaux-Arts style buildings undergoing a complete overhaul.

BONNER SPRINGS, Kan. (AP) - Developers are proposing a $500 million arts-and-entertainment campus in the Kansas City area with housing for students and seniors. The Kansas City Star reports that the Bonner Springs City Council this week approved a zoning change that developers needed to move ahead with the 180-acre project.

Burnt End BBQ, which has a location in Overland Park, will take over the spot currently occupied by Milano Italian Dining on the first floor of the Crown Center Shops, according to a news release.
