Fox4: Kansas City leaders say the living wage is different than minimum wage because the minimum wage can sometimes fail to meet requirements to have a basic quality of life, which can leave families dependent on government assistance.
"I think we've already achieved the main goal, which is to raise awareness and find a way to honor those businesses that pay the living wage," City Communications Spokesman Chris Hernandez said.
Translation: The social media presentation is much more impressive than real life progress.

1st, there is no ordinance authorizing money for this project in 2019. This was a 2017 ordinance for the 2017 Budget. 2nd, no where in the ordinance does it index it to $15 per. Making shit up as they go.
