Kansas City Liar's Poker Prohibition

Cutesy quick article on a local dive bar that's nice for a morning read and reminds us that this town still has more personality than those awful Visit KC clips featuring hipsters drinking fancy cocktails . . . Also, that sign actually says something a lot more lewd but ownership decided to tape over it in order to spruce up the place during one of their per decade cleanings.

Midtown KC dive Chez Charlie has the best bar rules in the world

There is no Liar's Poker allowed at Chez Charlie (3809 Broadway Blvd., Kansas City, Mo. 816-753-9247). The obscure bar game, played by telling or bluffing the serial number on a dollar bill, isn't the only thing banned at this sign-less dive in Midtown.
