Repairs finished on Midtown KCMO sinkhole; road reopens
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A 20-foot sinkhole in Midtown Kansas City that took more than a week to repair and cost more than $700,000 was caused by "aging infrastructure" and heavy rainfall, according to KC Water officials.
If that's the actual cost, I think I would have left it.... the millions of convention goers would love looking down into it.

The worst part is there's been little to no infrastructure work done in this city for decades and all this deferred maintenance costs 100xs more to repair after if breaks. We focused on streetcars, art exhibits at swope park for nobody, and buying shit on amazon that the city doesn't even realize it has to maintain itself
