KANSAS CITY 2019 CAMPAIGN PROMISES TO FIX WINTER POTHOLES BETRAYED?!?!

The council has three people who ran for mayor on it and despite their concern for potholes before the election . . . NONE of that was on their agenda as they two leave office and one will soon become mayor . . . Here's a nifty update on local streets still scared without hope of a fix in sight.

Also, let's not forget GO BOND cash for streets which has been nearly depleted . . .

Last winter continues to haunt commuters, even as temps soar

Winter seems like a distant memory now, but thousands of reminders of the snow and ice remain on Kansas City streets. Public works employees continue to fix potholes, months after the last cold snap. Snow fall totals were much higher than normal in the winter of 2018-19, and the freeze-and-thaw cycle created an unusually high number of holes in the pavement.

  2. KCMO had money to repair potholes but funneled it to developers in the same manner New Orleans removed statues instead of fixing their pumps.

  4. The sad part is people keep focusing on potholes which is just a temporary fix. The roads need resurfacing and painted on a regular schedule. This winter as the roads shrink and stretch the potholes will reopen and then more will appear.Maybe one day, tax money will be used for basic services.
