  1. Can someone explain how all this works? I have filed for formal appeals for 2 properties I own. What happens if I haven't had a hearing before the priority taxes are due? Do I still have to pay and then get a refund if I have overpaid or can I wait to pay after my hearings? There is no way all of the appeals can be heard before the end of the year.

    1. You will have to pay your property tax bill in full and pay under protest. Then if your appeal hearing is successful you will be issued a refund by the collector.......eventually

  2. 8:43 you will have to ask the Jackson County Assessment Department. Expect blank stares and maximum resistance and evasion so you don't set yourself up for disappointment.

  3. Is there anything Frank White and his merry band of morons haven't mucked up? This whole appeal process might be easier if the appeal form wasn't just a document you have to download and then send in. It's 2019 for crying out! Why is there no online form?

  4. ^^^^ there is, just not for this, Frankie boy is praying that the post office loses them all! But seriously, I appealed mine three years ago and everything was online or email, they’re just trying to make it enough of a pain in the ass so people won’t do it. I garauntee you a bunch of people will say it’s too hard and won’t do it. This is how Frankie does things.
