Just another sign that the biggest tax increase in a generation is also the most haphazard and poorly run. Take a look:
Part 11: Homeowner exposes flaws in Jackson County assessment reports, offers way to check for errors
BLUE SPRINGS, MO (KCTV) - A local data management professional is calling out Jackson County officials over mistakes in work on the latest controversial tax assessment, saying he found the errors using a simple $50 computer program. Preston Smith has a background in data management and has represented Blue Springs on the Board of Equalization for 12 years.
Did cnn take that poll in their office? I see more American pride than evar, maybe they mixed that poll up with their office environment!
ReplyDeleteJack county knew about this but let it slide. It's just ok and an HR perspective would render a pass decision. The money gotten, if left unchallenged, would be the amount that Jack county needs to have to run it's self. This city and county needs a lot of charity money. Many richies should pony up and be an altruistic force. Take in an immigration family too while your at it.
ReplyDeleteFire Gail. Recall Frank.
ReplyDeletebidness as usual
ReplyDeleteThe reassessment got my square footage right, and the assessed value is 19% of the market value, which itself is not out of line. I'm not happy about it, and I will be pissed if the county does take more than they need for their various functions, but I just don't see this as class action material.
