Empty houses litter the local urban core landscape and promises to fix them from local politicos have been unfulfilled, here's another effort from Tikkun-KC at neighborhood improvement:
Non-profit tackles abandoned house renovation
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - An abandoned house near 35th Street and Indiana Avenue is being gutted out in hopes a family will make it a home. The non-profit Tikkun-KC, along with volunteers, spent their Sunday transforming a house at 3532 Indiana Avenue in hopes that the renovation will not only beautify the house, but will have a ripple effect in the neighborhood.
Dayum, wait till the hoodrats find out the Jews are trying to fix houses in their neighborhood, this isn’t gonna end well.

ReplyDeleteThis was the eventual end game for most of those dolla' houses. I spoke with a couple contractors in depth about that program a couple years back. Biggest issue was everything not locked down on your truck, with you inside the house 50 feet away, would apparently grow legs and walk away almost immediately. Then of course, you have a $1 house, with $80,000 in renovations, in a neighborhood with a $30k average value and a crime rate that makes insurance companies say no thanks.
