Continued Outpouring Of Sympathy For Slain Kansas City Trans Victim Who Was Homeless Despite So Many Supporters In Death
An Internets drama star is the latest to score points by way of culture war bandwagon following a recent Kansas City homicide.
Laverne Cox speaks out against deaths of Black trans women amid pride celebrations . . . “Your attraction to me as a trans woman is not a reason to kill me,” she said in an interview
That's a bold statement that rings true, but riddle me this . . .
WITH SO MANY SUPPORTERS OF A TRAGICALLY MURDERED KCMO BLACK TRANS VICTIM . . . WHY WAS SHE HOMELESS AROUND THE TIME OF HER DEATH?!?!? SADLY, IT'S EASIER TO "SAY HER NAME" THAN OFFER HER A COUCH!!!
To be fair, hindsight it 20/20 and the issue of advocacy for this vulnerable community remains important.
Again, reports indicate the victim struggle with "chronic homelessness" and despite their small population numbers an estimated 11 transgender women have been killed so far this year in the U.S.
We don't want our readers to lose sight of the human element in this story whilst the POLITICS of the morning threaten to overshadow the real life lost.
You decide . . .
