Accurate Jackson County Property Tax Assessments Will Take More Than A Year

The money line that offers a preview of the future fight:

Hundreds of physical inspections of properties may be required because of Missouri law, said Theresa Galvin, county legislature chair.

"If the assessor may increase the assessed valuation of any parcel, sub-class real property by 15 percent since the last assessment, that the assessor shall conduct physical inspection of such property," Galvin said.
