USDA WORKERS HATE KANSAS CITY!!!

A glimpse at the reaction to cowtown relocation from workers who don't want to gain 50lbs, worship sports fake heroes and travel backwards in time to the weird-ass sentiments of 2002 George W. Bush America that still ecapsulates most of the Midwest outside of Midtown KCMO. Take a look:

Employees turn their back on Agriculture secretary over being relocated to Kansas City

Employees from the Economic Research Service and the National Institute of Food and Agriculture, two Department of Agriculture research agencies, stood and turned their backs to Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue in silent protest at an all-hands meeting Thursday.

  2. Maybe they just haven't been keeping up with all the hype from Sly and the Gopher.
    THE streetcar!
The vibrancy, density, and constant bustle and excitement of downtown KCMO!
The most entrepreneurial city in all of America!
The Crossroads every first Friday of the month!
Luxury apartments as far as the eye can see!
The Washington, DC area is nothing compared to KCMO!
Or maybe they just did a little online research and discovered the facts.
Send Sly east in his best carnival barker suit and give 'em a treat!

  3. I'm so confused. What's the real, between-the-lines story here?

  4. You forgot the worst schools in the country and most violent negros west of The Mississippi.... and then theirs the taxes and broken down everything

  5. The behind the lines story has nothing to do with KC. The removal of the science and research agencies from DC is the Trump administration's undermining of science and research itself, as it has in many other agency branches. Without the access to other scientific institutions and partners located in close proximity, as well as policy makers, the amount and impact of the research is reduced. Additionally, the quality of scientists will drop as many will not relocate.

  6. ^^^Yes this, pretty much nails it. Trump is anti-science.

The other comments....what a joke. Have you assholes ever been to DC? Some of the worst, if not the worst, traffic in the country, super aggressive panhandlers, unmatched economic disparity, and super expensive housing to top it all off. Outside of the science issue, which these people are very passionate about, KC will be a nice upgrade in quality of life.

  12. What you lose sight of, living in this godforsaken place, is the fact that everybody elsewhere, even in shithole towns like the DC Metro, regards Kansas City as either total nowhere (a lot of people don't even know what state it's in, remember) or a crumbling and dangerous hellhole whose last real reason for existing disappeared with the last cattle drive. And those bumper stickers (KC: Better than Topeka!) didn't help, either.

  16. When these dumb asses see what their money gets them here versus DC they will tell all of their friends to have their departments move them here. You get twice the house for half the money here. Your food is less expensive here. Gas is cheaper here. Winters are less severe here. Family life is better here if you live in the burbs. Traffic? They will think there is no traffic at all compared to the congested highways in DC.
I know we all bag on KCMO (and the area but it is our home) and our politicians but the truth is you don't want to move to DC! Even Cleaver comes back almost every weekend.
