TKC QUESTION: WHY ARE SO MANY UNDECIDED KANSAS CITY VOTERS REJECTING BOTH QUINTON LUCAS AND JOLIE JUSTUS FOR MAYOR?!?!
Kansas City still can't make up its mind about the upcoming election.
IN A RECENT POLL NEARLY 20% OF LIKELY VOTERS REMAIN UNDECIDED BETWIXT BOTH CANDIDATES!!!
With a week to go there's not much we can learn about either candidate with the exception of . . .
The Lawrence PD could finally release that DUI dash cam footage.
AND/OR
Some of our brighter legal minds might actually step up and talk to MSM about those sloppy divorces on the books.
Until that time, this morning we leave it up to our readers when we ask:
WHY ARE SO MANY KANSAS CITY VOTERS STILL UNDECIDED ON THE NEXT MAYOR?!?!
Check the links:

You decide . . .
Because we're basically picking a one termer. Neither one has a strong support network from the council and they both have aspirations for higher office. They are not interested in Kansas City so why should voters show them any loyalty.
ReplyDeleteBlame the candidates, they agreed to a really boring camapign at the beginning so neither one of them would really have to compete. Quinton broke the deal or at least pushed it to its limits. That's why he's winning.
DeleteVoters don't owe anything to the candidates. They should have done a better job explaining their positions to the public. Both of them look exactly the same to most voters.
DeleteBecause they are a bunch of crooks! Screw them! I say throw em both in the river.
ReplyDelete9% voter turnout. People have better things to do in the Summer. Most of KC will be starting their vacation.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteBecause they are both not qualified to do the job and both will neglect what they say they will do. Lucas has already proven that so a vote for him will be a vote to throw money at failing projects and big business.
Sad to say one of them will get in, the question is...which is the lesser of two evils? That remains to be seen. Good Luck KC you're going to need it. Don't forget about the compound GO Bond on top of your reassessment! Looks like you got hosed again.
Southpark explained it - it's an election between a douche and a turd sandwich.
ReplyDeleteThey both are shitty candidates. Both are homosexuals but one has the decency to at least admit it. One is white, one is not. Both are liars and don’t care about what is best for the city. Slight edge to Jolie.
ReplyDeleteSimply because JoLie and Lucas are making national issues the center of their campaign as opposed to local issues that are the concerns of the voters.
ReplyDeleteWould be nice if the candidates would say what they can and cannot do about the local problems citizens face every day.
I'm writing in clay chastain because I'm a winner.
ReplyDeleteAlso because the vote between these two losers is going to be close.
They're both essentially the same candidate. Sly in a dress on both counts.
ReplyDeleteHistory has proven that when we have a negro mayor, the city gets worse than it was before the negro took office.
ReplyDelete^^^ And "history" (one example) "proves" that, when we have a woman as Mayor, we wind up with the City bankrupted for twenty-five years by building a development that was never and will never be able to pay for itself.
ReplyDelete"Jolie meets with Northland Leaders" FALSE!
ReplyDeleteJolie met with a "mook" Organization that has only ever existed to rubber stamp City Hall proposals and actions.
Northland Neighborhoods Inc. does nothing for the Northland except pass out "neighborhood Development" dollars to the Board's friends and relatives, some of whom don't even live or work in the Northland.
Jolie would have done better had she spent even a moment of her time on the Council addressing or even noticing the 1/5 of her Fourth District constituents who live north of the River, or at least having her staff return telephone calls from them..
Both of them are campaigning about their focus on neighborhoods, public safety, street maintenance, utility costs, and all the rest of the basic services issues that BOTH OF THEM ARE TOTALLY IGNORED DURING THEIR COUNCIL TERMS.
ReplyDeleteHypocrisy and outright lying on steroids.
And all part of the amnesia campaign.
Demonstrating so little regard for KCMO residents and voters even before they hope to get elected is a very very bad sign.
It never changes.
TKC QUESTION: WHY ARE SO MANY UNDECIDED KANSAS CITY VOTERS REJECTING BOTH QUINTON LUCAS AND JOLIE JUSTUS FOR MAYOR?!?!
ReplyDeleteReally? You have to ask?
Tweedles dee and dum. Lesser of two evils. Slie clones. etc, etc, etc....
Kansas City is a barbeque town and the offering is tofu or possum. We're not buying in.
ReplyDeleteThe Northland could elect their choice of mayor. They don't turnout. Not even when they have a resident candidate.
ReplyDeleteCause they both suck and their supporters are mainly douche lawyers or snowflake libs.
ReplyDeleteWHy because they both suck and Im in outskirts and couldn't vote in the primary. I hate the candidates.
ReplyDeleteThe northland people cannot stand them.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part is everyone actually bought the bullshit Jason Kander said when he dropped out. He dropped out because he realized it was going to be a shit job and no one would like him when he was done because this city is fucked. But everyone bought the bullshit ptsd excuse without question. Yeah it was like a year ago but it's still hilarious
ReplyDeleteQueen LaTIFa won’t get my vote. Murders every other day and no solid plan . Streets literally turning to gravel with no help in sight. God damned corporate welfare is draining this town dry.
ReplyDeleteNobody is excited about either of them let’s be honest.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the salary for mayor of KCMO?
ReplyDeletesLIE has it changed to something around $120,000, I believe he doubled it. Most mayors work for free or one dollar, not sLIE, he demanded a freakin raise.
ReplyDeleteI'm not undecided.... I've decided I don't like either.
ReplyDeleteBoth candidates have stated that they will keep the current city manager, so there will be no true change. No transparency going forward and the obliteration of internal city policies will be permanently put to rest.
ReplyDeleteA new city manager from outside is the only opportunity to have the root of budget funding tactics be brought to light. A new city manager would have no reason to continue or carry forward the strategies that are deceitful and unethical.
How to you spell Clay..,,,
ReplyDeleteJolie took the campaign negative. Low road and won't own it. Trump tactics. Shame on her for trashing her values and long history of service. Seems desperate!!!!
ReplyDelete10:38, both candidates have stated that they'll keep Schulte but Quinton doesn't like him and he doesn't like Quinton. Jolie couldn't get the voters garnered to renew Schulte's contract in the event of opposition and with Shields basically running the Council, there would be opposition. While Quinton and Jolie SAY they'll keep Troy, no one has bothered asking Troy if he wants to stay. Word around City Hall is that he doesn't want to and we'll be lucky if he finishes out his contract. Who would want to work for either one of those two as mayor?
ReplyDeleteWe needed a conservative Republican running. These two are not a choice between two things.
ReplyDeleteA vote against Quinton Lucas for Mayor, will also be a vote against Gail McCann Beatty, Director of Assessment, who had done nothing but increase Jackson County Missouri Property Taxes. Think about it.
ReplyDeleteAnother 4 years of the same old, same old. Both are dems, probably Trump haters; liberals who will lead with control in our ethnic population. Too bad KC.
