TKC MUST READ!!! KICK-ASS INSIDER SHARES BEHIND THE SCENES HOT TAKE ON KANSAS CITY JUNE 18TH VOTE!!!

From behind the scenes, right now we share perspective from a participant, insider and player in this election contest soon to be decided . . .

To wit . . .

HERE'S A SNEAK PEEK AT THE KANSAS CITY MAYORAL ELECTION AND SO MUCH MORE!!!

Again, this is from somebody who knows and fellow insiders should recognize the attention to detail and perspective . . . Checkit:

TKC Reader Random Musings:

As The Star readies itself to weigh in on the City Council, here are this reader's predictions.

Mayor: Quinton Lucas. Lucas has the backing of Councilwoman Shields and her husband Phil Carderella, who have proven themselves good sources to the Star, as has Lucas himself. The coverage already lends to the leaning of the Editorial Board and the political desk. Lucas has done a phenomenal job of playing the victim and this board would love nothing more than to reward the candidate who was a thorn in the side of outgoing Mayor Sly James.

Justus should pray that they give her less ink in this one than in the primary. Take your lumps and move on.

Competitive Council Races

District 3 At-large: Wallace Hartsfield. Trust that he won't be a pushover on the council, but he's more palatable to the leanings of the Ed Board: Doesnt mind blowing things up, but will do so with camera's rolling and in a tactful manner.

District 4: Eric Bunch. While Jolley will likely prevail because of his strong connections, including in the media, Bunch is no stranger to the press. He's been an outspoken advocate for progress and won't stray away from tough choices like curbing runaway overtime in the police and fire departments, something the Ed Board agrees with wholeheartedly.

District 5 At-Large: Lee Barnes wins this for having the ability to fog up a mirror. It's a low bar, what can I say?

District 6: Conventional wisdom says Andrea Bough ultimately wins, but Johnson-Cosby presents herself much better when asked specific policy questions. Her ads about Bough haven't done her any favors among progressives, however they'll want to include some long-shots to be seen as ahead of the curve and, who knows, they could be right on this one.

  3. This crap was obviously written by one of the losers still left on the Ed Board of the Falling Star.

Trying to pretend that the Daily Fishwrap still had any relevance and insight in KC.

  4. These ridiculous candidates PLUS the editorial board of KC Star.
How can so many clowns fit into such a little mid-west cow town?
And the 85% of metro residents who are smart enough to NOT live in KCMO just laugh and laugh at the amateur childish goings on.
    And all at taxpayer expense.
From which KCMO residents get pretty much nothing.
Four more years of the circus.
And it really doesn't matter which of the clowns ends up in the center ring.
    Hahahahaha!!
