TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! ODD COUPLE!!! CONSERVATIVE NORTHLAND COUNCIL LADY HEATHER HALL SUPPORTS JOLIE JUSTUS FOR KANSAS CITY MAYOR!!!

Right now we have FIRST NEWS of a notable coalition that not only crosses political & social boundaries but also signals a broad coalition. Or, respectfully, maybe just a coalition among broads.

To wit . . .

CONSERVATIVE COUNCIL LADY HEATHER HALL LENDS HER SUPPORT TO JOLIE JUSTUS AS THE NORTHLAND VOTE NOW HAS THE CHANCE TO DECIDE THE KANSAS CITY CONTEST FOR MAYOR!!!

Sure they're been friendly on the Council but the two couldn't be more different.

Council Lady Heather Hall is a cop wife, former homemaker and has been more of consensus builder on the Council focusing on neighborhood issues like trash pickup and police.

Meanwhile, Jolie Justus has championed social issues and stands to make history as the first LGBT mayor of Kansas City IF she is elected.

And so, here's the odd couple paring as the Kansas City silly season builds to a crescendo . . .

Councilwoman Heather Hall Endorses Jolie Justus for Mayor

Justus continues to build support across the city

Kansas City, MO -Today, First District Councilwoman Heather Hall announced her endorsement of Jolie Justus for mayor. Councilwomen Hall and Justus have served on the city council together for the last four years and Hall has been impressed by Justus’ willingness to build coalitions and show consistency in her thoughts and actions. Councilwoman Hall is now the 5th member of the current city council to have endorsed Justus for mayor, including Mayor Sly James and Councilman Jermaine Reed, Councilman Kevin McManus, and Councilman Dan Fowler.

“I have decided to support Jolie Justus for Mayor not because our politics align, but because I believe in any organization, whether government, business, or in a family, consistency is necessary to thrive,” said Councilwoman Hall. “She has proven in the 4 years to be consistent in thought and vote and that’s why she has my support to be the next mayor of Kansas City.”

“Although Councilwoman Hall is much more conservative than me, we both share the belief that Kansas City needs effective, consistent leadership - regardless of ideology. I have a tremendous amount of respect for Councilwoman Hall because she comes to the council with fresh ideas and a willingness to roll up her sleeves and get the job done. I look forward to working with her on the next city council,” said Councilwoman Justus. “In the end, leadership means taking into account the various needs and desires from across the city and finding solutions to our biggest problems, even when those solutions may not be popular. I have a record of doing that as an attorney, state senator, and as a city councilwoman. ”

Justus has received the endorsements Kansas City Mayor Sly James, Kansas City Councilman Dan Fowler, Kansas City Councilman Kevin McManus, Kansas City Councilman Jermaine Reed, Missouri State Rep. Greg Razer, Missouri State Rep. Judy Morgan, Jackson County Legislator Crystal Williams, Jackson County Legislator Scott Burnett, Greater Kansas City Building and Construction Trades, St Louis-Kansas City Carpenters Regional Council, United Auto Workers- Region V, Laborers Union Local 663, AFSCME Local 500, United Steel Workers, IBEW Local 53, Forward KC, former Kansas City Mayor Kay Barnes, former Kansas City Mayor Charlie Wheeler, former Missouri State Rep. 1. It's a win/win for Heather. If Jolie pulls this one out, she's a kingmaker. If not, she was never going to get much from Quinton anyway.

    1. Jolie can win this thing with the Northland vote but they have to come out stronger than they did for the primary. I think the prospect of Quinton Lucas in charge and building another landfill in their backyard like Cleaver did might set a fire underneath the likely voters.

  2. Not surprised by Hall, she has been on the opposite sides of Lucas for most of the term. She maybe influences a few people in the 1st but that's it.

    1. ^^^^ WRONG.

Hall has been getting a lot more influence and becoming more confident with her work. I think people who care about neighborhoods will realize that neither candidate is perfect but they stand to have more access if Jolie is in charge. Quinton doesn't really have a plan.

More of the endless virtue-signalling. Heather Hall is the dipshit that felt that Kansas City desperately needed Big Sonia Day.

  4. Thanks Heather. Now you are finally out of the closet.

Did your hubby get promised to be on the police board? Can’t wait to use this in the next primary you will think you can win. Tell your butt buddy TIF developer friends, they just cost you real support.

When you endorsed Todd Akin for US Senate, you know the one that said unbelievable things about rape, the boys told you how to think and boom rubber stamp HH came to the rescue.

  5. Lucas BIG supporter of infrastructure work --

just as long as it's ALL done in the lousy GHETTO!

Vote the lezzie-- waay better of two bad choices for ALL of KC!

  6. Don't think it makes a damn bit of difference. Both suck. This Northlander will vote for prop one to cap Tifs (for all the good it will do).

  7. Yet another middle school student clique!
Will they be sitting together at the same school lunch table?
Wear the same clothes to council meetings?
The KCMO political "scene" is truly pathetic.

  8. I hope Quinton has learned a lesson or two about Kevin McManus and Heather Hall. Kevin got him on the Airport MOU vote and Heather on the recent trash collection vote. Now they back stab him on the mayors race. Sad!

  9. Heather just made an endorsement for a group of northland developers. The next office she runs for she better hope they can vote more than one time . The rest of the city is tired of putting money in the pockets of developers.

  10. Let me get this straight. Jolie just got the endorsement of the republican radical that ran Todd Akin's failed bid? The same guy who said that raped women can't get pregnant. Wow, Jolie just lost my vote. Don't tell me that your soul can't be bought.

  11. Quinton-stans run deep tonight.

  12. Sorry to hear this, Ms. Hall is throwing away a lot of goodwill she has built up in the Northland over the past four years.

At one point I thought she might be the Female Mayor to wash away the shame and disgrace of Kay Barnes' disastrous term.

  13. ^^^ Somewhat agree. But if Jolie wins then she's getting a lot of pull with the new mayor. Politics is about risk, this was a calculated move. The downside isn't so bad because Quinton Lucas was never going to pay her much attention or place her on worthwhile committees.

  14. There are no good choices in this race for a conservative. Hall is forced to pick the one who she can work with and that happens to be Jolie. Lucas has proven to be a do nothing wind bag and that doesn’t help get things done.

  15. As expected, the campaign staff for GOP senate nominee Rep Todd Akin is expanding.
The Kansas City area coordinator, Heather Hall says more operatives are hitting thus side of the state.
Hall says in an e-mail to supporters, "Steve Mynatt as Field Director to manage Ray, Buchanan, Lafayette, Caldwell, Daviess, DeKalb, Carroll, Livingston, Saline, Johnson and Clinton counties.".
Hall says "Blake Rumsey as Field Coordinator. He will oversee 4×8 Sign delivery and installation, parade and fair planning, volunteer recruitment, door-to-door campaigning and poll working for Platte, Clay, Jackson and a few other counties."
Hall says she’ll continue to handle the Kansas City metro counties, and Pettis county.
She also says she’s picking up some fundraising duties.
She’s been with the campaign most of the year.

  16. Your Commander (The tax payer)6/11/19, 11:09 PM

Heather is a cops wife, but there are a ton a KCMO cops who are females who have wives, I say eat less pussy and do the job you are paid to do which is solve CRIMES especially HOMICIDES! quit choking on pussy hair and do your fucking job!

  17. Jolie doesn't give a shit about the Northland. And Heather is always nervous with any decision of consequence, second guessing everyone, including herself. Jolie is her therapist. And then Jolie initiated this negative smear campaign, going very low and then won't own it! We expected better. Heather's endorsement is meaningless!

    ReplyDelete
  18. 11:15 I doubt Quinton cares about the Northland either, the ghetto is south of the river.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Where do you find these glamour shots of Jolie? Why don't you use a photo that is from this decade?

    ReplyDelete
  20. A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines. With consistency a great soul has simply nothing to do. He may as well concern himself with his shadow on the wall. Speak what you think now in hard words, and to-morrow speak what to-morrow thinks in hard words again, though it contradict every thing you said to-day. — 'Ah, so you shall be sure to be misunderstood.' — Is it so bad, then, to be misunderstood? Pythagoras was misunderstood, and Socrates, and Jesus, and Luther, and Copernicus, and Galileo, and Newton, and every pure and wise spirit that ever took flesh. To be great is to be misunderstood.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson, essay in Self Reliance.

Consistency? That's why Heather likes Justus?
As in consistently in the hip pocket of Sly James,
as in consistently pushing the new KCI, where labor threatens to strike?

Ask any voters, and their decision tree is not based on a "search for consistency"...

    ReplyDelete
  21. -whether government, business, or in a family, consistency is necessary to thrive
-finding solutions to our biggest problems, even when those solutions may not be popular.

    ReplyDelete
  22. They promised us we wouldn't pay a dime for the new KCI.

    They lied.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Well, that is certainly disappointing. I thought she was smarter than that.
