City entity takes ownership of former Satchel Paige home
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - One year ago , smoke filled the sky on east 28th St. in the historic Santa Fe neighborhood. The stately former home of baseball legend Satchel Paige went up in flames in an alleged case of arson. "Smoke came into my house," William Washington, a neighbor of 35 years, said.
Considering the fact that we have bought JE Dunn's old buildings, this is minor. At Least Satchel Paige was a Baseball legend. The J E Dunn Corporation has made hundreds of millions off of the taxpayers of Kansas City and most of the employees don't reside in Kansas City. Satchel Paige lived here, was a national baseball legend, paid taxes here and died here and didn't bilk the taxpayers for any money.
ReplyDelete^^Whaaa!!! Whaaa!!! Boo hoo! Whaaa!!!
ReplyDeleteAawww...that's so sincere of you to weep for all of the lives taken by the murder momentum, and for all the loads of debt nudging Killa Shitty to bankruptcy.
DeleteYet another black hole for the taxpayers' dollars to disappear into.
ReplyDeleteRound up the usual suspects!
Maybe they can match the waste at 18th and Vine.
It never changes.
^^and yet life goes on. Weird.
ReplyDelete^^and yet, lies go on. Wasted.
DeleteIt has been said by a guy downtown (Sean H) that it will cost the city between $600,000 and $700,000 to restore to what they want.
ReplyDelete^^Thanks Gladys. Gossiping little bitch. We don't trade in rumors here.
ReplyDeleteAnd you want to know how the Mayor will be remembered?
ReplyDeleteNegro neighborhoods cost taxpayers the most as far as fires go in this shit town, we pay KCFD 100 times more for the few fires responded too than its worth, and the emergency medical service they provide is more than a joke, what a waste of money! Fire and probabley police services should be privatized to save the tax payers money. KCPD is run by the state due to corruption back in the day, and still is to this very day, The state doesnt trust the city of Kansas City to do anything right, so why would the tax payers? KCPD and KCFD propaganda feed the morons who live there, its a false sense of security if you live there!
