For the first time in years, the corporate welfare spree might see a pause.

No. It won't work. There is no border wars with Iowa, Illinois, Arkansas, oklahoma, kentucky, nebraska? Kansas isnt the only state bordering Missouri. So, I dont get it. All of these states woukd have to be dealt with, I would think.

Not going to happen. This city is to far gone (mental) politically.

If there's a "Border War", why has Missouri been building all these facilities for Johnson Countians all these decades?

Kansas City and St Louis are ruining the state of Missouri.

and yet they are not. Weird.

Too many lawyers, developers and politicians benefit from corporate welfare. While publicly the Chamber may advocate for an end to it I would guess many of its members support the continuation. And I would guess privately the Chamber is probably working for a continuation of the incentives.

Maybe the city, the so called leadership, should look at KCMO being ranked #45 recently as a place young people desire to locate to. Ask the question why? Then look in the mirror.
