Royals embarrassed by Red Sox in 8-0 shutout -- A pathetic effort by the Royals tonight.
The depths of local disparity might get even worse, here's the money line:
"But this team. This freaking team. This is the most agonizing, frustrating, irritating baseball team I can remember rooting for. They should be better than they are. There are some valuable pieces on this roster. They are, on paper, significantly better than they were in 2018. But yet somehow, now 19-42 through 61 games - two games worse than they were last year - the Royals are on pace for 111 losses, which would set a new club record."

I wouldn't worry too much about the Royals.

This team is also already statistically consuming pornography at the lowest rate in the AL... with the lone problem in this area being Danny Duffy.

DeleteTied with the Orioles for the worst record in MLB. Below average starting pitching, maybe the worst bull pen ever, and batters with no plate discipline. The defense is probably major league average, but that doesn't make it a bright spot, just a slightly less dark spot.
