The wasted season endures as the home team continues to look hapless, out of sorts and completely unable of building on any glimmer of hope or success. Take a look:
Royals lose third in a row, 7-5
For half of the game it looked like the Royals were going to have it easy. They scored their first run within two pitches of the game starting. Whit Merrifield laced a double past a diving Randal Grichuk before Nicky Lopez bunted for a base hit.
Worst BP ever.
