A Lenexa firefighter suffered a heat-related issue while battling a house fire on West 84th Street Wednesday night.The firefighter was taken to a hospital for evaluation.The Fire Department said the fire was contained to a second-floor bedroom area. The cause of the fire is under investigation.Authorities said everyone in the home had safely escaped when firefighters arrived.

Cowtown 2nd Chance
CLEVELAND - The Kansas City Royals have reinstated Eric Skoglund after the left-hander served an 80-game suspension for performance-enhancing drug use. Skoglund was optioned to Triple-A Omaha on Wednesday. The 26-year-old was suspended in January after his positive drug test. Skoglund was 1-6 with a 5.14 ERA in 14 games with the Royals last season.
