KANSAS CITY COUNTRY CLUB PLAZA NORDSTROM COMING SOON?!?!

A lesser news outlet teases a presser that many of our JoCo readers still believe is a ploy to get a better deal OR maybe luxury retail likes EPIC property taxes.

Here's the news . . .

The Country Club Plaza’s Capital Grille is set to move in August, clearing the way for the construction of the new Nordstrom store.

Corporate officials said the restaurant will close at 4740 Jefferson St. at the end of business on Aug. 4. It will reopen at 4760 Broadway at 11 a.m. Aug. 8.

Developing . . .

Perfect area for a Payday Loan and a Weaves R Us.

Better have some really good heavily armed security guards. The feral beasts, who ruin everything, are ready.

Nordstrom must be really hard up, their theft rate is going to be huge. Eddie Bauer used to be so busy but lost business due to mean little black sambos. They couldn't even keep the store stocked. Moving out was their best choice.

Good to know I only have to dodge a little gunfire to buy a $200 shirt.

They’re tearing down plaza buildings to do this, too bad sLIE sold out the only decent history to do this, the cleave wiped out the cowtown history and now sLIE is killing the only good thing left, damn shame

Oh sorry geezers...none of you can afford Nordstrom, and the Plaza is not on our bus route from the home anyway. Besides, why go out when you can watch Maude and cry about everything on the inter-webs?

Is that the same plaza you can’t afford to go to? Thought so dummy.

@12:43 is crushing geezer skulls! Love it!

12:43 is a brain dead troll with painfully limited repertoire. Facts are facts and the Plaza was much more robust when Saks and Hall’s were still open and yet they opted to leave (not to mention the smaller, upper-end chain stores like Brooks Brothers and Burberry). What makes Nordstrom any different? Everyone knows that brick and mortar retail is struggling in the best of circumstances, not to mention a setting like the Plaza that has become home to the most mundane retailers.

The tribute to Spanish architecture in the building redesign is commendable. (sarcasm)

No, dummy, Maude is the gayzers' show. Those four old drag queens make gayzers horny. Those frequent bitchy arguements and loads of petty gossip is so thrilling to gayzers.

Nah, all you gayzers are munching 12:43's butt!
