Ingram's :: Isle of Capri, Harrah's To Have Same Owner

Isle of Capri Casino owner Reno, Nev.-based Eldorado Resorts, is purchasing Caesars Entertainment Corp., owner of Harrah's North Kansas City, for $17.3 billion in cash and debt. Of course, the Harrah's property is a just a sliver of Las Vegas-based Caesars' portfolio, which includes several significant hotel-casino's in its hometown, such as Caesars Palace, and throughout the country.

  1. Bad news for NKC, but still, not as bad as when Harrah's was sold off to Caesars, and the big donation pipeline was cut off.

    That put paid to all the follies that Idiot, Gene Bruns had pissed away the Harrah's cash on, like the poorly designed and constructed Community Center (had to be sold for pennies on the dollar to the YMCA), and CityLink (since leased to Google), the idiotic idea of wiring the entire town and pirating American Cablevision's transmissions.

    NKC is just now starting to recover from Bruns' foolishness.
