The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate a small plane crash Friday evening at the Lee's Summit Airport.Police and firefighters were called at 6:45 p.m. to the northeast edge of the airfield.Authorities said the pilot called 911, saying he had been involved in an accident.The pilot was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.Investigators said it was not immediately known whether the plane was taking off or landing when the crash happened.
