KANSAS CITY, Mo. - At the corner of East 31 Street and Prospect Avenue, dozens of people wore orange and held signs Sunday, urging drivers to honk their horns. The message was to end gun violence that plagues Kansas City, Missouri. "Put down the guns; it has to stop," Mothers in Charge founder Roslyn Temple said.

  1. A rally with bright clothes and signs is not going to stop the violence. They need candles and puppets. Especially puppets. That should do the trick.

  2. Gun violence will decline if Jean Petersucker Baker starts doing her job as prosecutor. Don’t hold your breath.

    And on and on.
How can the electeds continue to endlessly fund "programs" that have ZERO effect on crime and homicides year after year?
How about some performance standards, time lines, and accountability.
And DEFUND efforts that have no results, regardless of how "well meaning" they are.
Way past time to hurt some feelings, call some friends and insiders to account, and actually try to save some lives.
It's really not that hard or complicated.
