"Data's important, but it doesn't win the day," said Tiffany Manuel, president and CEO of TheCaseMade.

  2. I just read this article and it makes no sense at all! That's the thing these people keep pushing affordable housing talk nothing but mindless talk.

The stupid county and city with that bogus Go bond and tax hikes, just put thousands of landlords out of business, with all the tax and spend you will have more empty blighted buildings.

  6. Just what everyone needs is yet another self-appointed "CEO" of a concocted fake nonprofit with no responsibilities and a big idea of how other people should spend their money.
There's no end of these grifters and the KCMO electeds fall for their pitches time after time.
"Affordable housing" is the latest faddish buzz word and will be replaced by something brighter and shinier long before there's any meaningful efforts made to address the issue.
How's the local "summit meeting" on global warming going?

  7. Frank has a Liz pendence case from 2015 and three foreclosure cases since 2016, doesn’t look good for him, and to think he’s in charge of an entire counties finances and he can’t keep his house in order, and then there’s all the worthless no good people he’s hired to help him drag the county down the drain. Sad.

  11. The affordable housing ship sailed with the property tax shakedown, which also might lead to the demise of the street car

Haven't heard anyone talk about this but the street car expansion will never happen now because those on the expanded route would have their property taxes jacked up to pay for the ordeal. People who had their property taxes jacked 500 percent this month now have motivation to fight another massive property tax increase from the expansion. Street car is DOA.

Oh well, nothing wrong with a failed 200 million dollar experiment
