Kansas Activist Fight For Deaf Access

This one may not make the top of the news but it's important nevertheless, here's a worthwhile effort to make the Sunflower State kinder and gentler. Checkit:

Kansas activist sues over Legislature's lack of assistance for deaf

A Kansas activist is asking the state's highest court to require the Legislature to provide sign-language interpreters for its sessions and better captioning for its audio and video feeds. Chris Haulmark of Olathe filed a petition last week with the Kansas Supreme Court.

  1. Not much of a response here but I'm glad you posted it. We need to care for our less fortunate in Kansas and the Republicans don't seem to want to do that.
