ReplyDeleteActually, the "system" of government in both Jackson County and KCMO is very straightforward and easy to understand.
ReplyDeleteThe way the "system" addresses your needs or concerns depends on who you know and how much time you have to spend at city hall or the courthouse.
Campaign contributions certainly help as well.
Residents might try to elect some people who are actually interested in local government and the services it should provide rather than constantly electing clowns who are more interested in their own D-list celebrity and what public office they're planning to run for next.
But if you do the same thing, the same way, with the same people, the results should never be surprising.

Very pleased today to see our Housing Plan pass after starting the ball rolling two years ago. My appreciation to Housing Committee Chair and Mayor-Elect Quinton Lucas for his leadership to get this done.
ReplyDeleteBut with the increase in property tax you liberals who can't think went ahead and voted for more tax breaks and special gifts to developers, so developers can build anywhere even if they know the buildings are going to go into blight because they can write off the loss but get tax breaks from the city! Guess who pays for that?????? YOU DO! Suck it up, you voted for it!

ReplyDeleteThere is nothing more depressing to any government entity than seeing potential American consumers sitting on boxes of cash or saving it in any other fashion.
ReplyDeleteNot only that but their are city officials "cooking the books" for their personal residences and properties.
