Hours After KCPD Announced New Crime Fighting Plan, MLK Blvd Deadly Triple Shooting Offered A Moment Of Pause
Police seemed hopeful that $25K for homicide tips might prevent a deadly Summer. But then a DEADLY TRIPLE SHOOTING related to the drug trade quickly contradicted talk of community-based solutions in the face of internationally funded violence.
Here's continued hope from the newspaper that seems to overlook the bigger picture and growing income disparity that also seems to have sparked rising local crime. Checkit:

KC NoVa failed to reduce homicides. This new strategy could make Kansas City safer
After five years, local law enforcement in Kansas City is moving on from the Kansas City No Violence Alliance effort, which was meant to help stop homicides. The city has continued to suffer from a high homicide rate.
NoVA just pimped tax dollars with no results.
ReplyDeleteKansas City No Violence Alliance effort never was meant to reduce anything. It was a plan by some to get ahold of some cash to distribute out to whomever for whatever. It was a scam plain and simple and nothing more.
ReplyDelete^^^ +10000000000
ReplyDeleteKolored people are extremely violent and murderous so what else does anyone expect out of them?
ReplyDeleteAny collaboration which includes Jean Petersucker Baker will be useless in reducing homicides.
ReplyDeleteAll of SLie's failed feel good programs were scams and never about reducing crime.

^^Good morning, Petersucker.
ReplyDeleteEach one of these anti-crime "programs", most of them invented by out-of-town psychologists or college professors, has been rolled out and endlessly hyped, mostly by the people who get the "funding" and by the local media who report pretty much everything by reading press releases.
ReplyDeleteAnd year after year the story stays pretty much the same, even long after it has become clear that the "program" isn't doing a thing to curb the violence and homicides.
Then suddenly there's a BRAND NE program which mostly layers on to what's already there, ineffective though it may be.
Funding for ad Hoc, Aim4Peace, NoVa, Mothers in Charge, and who knows how many other utterly ineffective and unaccountable nonsense has gone on for decades.
And one element that is never mentioned is the behavior of the goons perpetrating the violence and any efforts by members of the "community" in the most crime-ridden neighborhoods to work with the police to help get them off the streets.
Safe neighborhoods require both residents and police.
Anything else is the sound of one hand clapping.

Jean Petersucker Baker is the criminal’s best friend.
ReplyDeleteYou want a reduced murder rate. Get a prosecutor who is tough on crime and prosecuted crime aggressively and skillfully with the intent to put criminals in prison for as long as possible. We have a worthless prosecutor who is soft on crime and has zero skill.
ReplyDeleteNothing will improve until you have more street cops, aggressively prosecute, and actually have a jail solution. Until then you are continuosly wasting money
ReplyDeleteAt least the tourist will know to stay west of Dr.Martin Luther King Jr Blv.
ReplyDeleteIt's a combination of the Drug Trade gangs fighting over territory. Anger And mental problem's. And some say it's poverty area. There are people driving fifty thousand dollar, vehicles shooting at each other.
ReplyDeleteKC NOVA FAILED TO REDUCE HOMICIDES
ReplyDelete...which means that all who sang it's praises as meaningful and impactful were WRONG!
Mayor Sylvester, Troy Schulte, Jolie Justus, Quinton Lucas, etc.
WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!
You know there is no street cred to be gained for being shot or murdered on Troost anymore. The new place to be shot or killed is on MLK Blvd! If you're looking for cred. Congratulation to the KCMO city council for the change.
ReplyDeleteWhat ever happened to shot spotter, Aim for Piece, Adhoc and all the rest of the failed plans. Police were give grants from the Trump administration and still nothing... i will just hold my breath that all these new wonderful plans will work to any degree.
ReplyDeletecatching homicides, maybe, reducing homicides, no.
ReplyDeletehow about embedding a scan ID in every new engine block and put sensors at stop lights or in entertainment areas.
