A glimpse at urban core transit danger as a dude waiting for the bus last night was killed by an out of control car.
Police report: "One person was waiting inside an ATA bus enclosure at 11:35 p.m. Tuesday, at the intersection of 67th street and Troost. A dark gray Chevy Impala was traveling south on Troost when the driver went off the road and hit the bus stop."
The driver escaped the horrific scene on foot, the victim was later pronounced dead at hospital. Officials have since towed the car involved in the crash. Police said they will be checking the two security cameras at the bus stop to get a better description of the driver.
