HIGH TIMES AND INDICTMENTS!!! TKC'S FAVORITE WEED ACTIVIST BUSTED IN MISSOURI MARIJUANA INDICTMENT!!!

Longtime readers of this blog know Eapen, we love Eapen!!!

Now, the advocate who has shared eloquent arguments for weed law reform across Missouri from KC to STL confronts serious charges as the weed game hasn't quite changed and rural Missouri takes their "wacky tobacky" enforcement just a bit more seriously.

Here's the tragic update and an important reminder that weed talk and serious arguments against civil asset forfeiture often spark deeper investigation from authorities AND/OR this is why totally legal and socially acceptable fancy cappuccino throughout the day is TKC's drug of choice.

KSHB: Missouri drug-reform lobbyist indicted in marijuana scheme

Deet:

A Columbia man who is a lobbyist for drug reform policies and has donated more than $25,000 to Missouri political campaigns is among nine people indicted in an alleged marijuana distribution scheme.

Eapen Thampy, 35, was indicted by a grand jury Thursday on felony charges of marijuana distribution and marijuana possession. He appeared in federal court Monday but didn't enter a plea. A detention hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.

    1. He should have known he would attract A LOT of attention for his advocacy. Hope he makes a good argument in his defense or he'll be in prison and unable to enjoy marijuana legalization.

  3. Sorry, Ra-douche. It’s the state law, not Trump. Learn how to read.

  4. That was really stupid on his part. Being high profile on weed, and then ships weed from OR to MO?

  5. Eapen might as well have made as sign he was into the weed game pretty heavily, maybe he's able to knock down the charges or find some legal out but I think it was obvious that he was personally "invested" in the struggle.

Still hope he beats the charge. It's not like he's "pushing" drugs on anybody there's a big demand that's only going to get bigger.

  6. Eapen is a good guy, the authorities still have to prove their case which will be a stretch because Eapen knows the law better than anyone and it's doubtful he would let himself get ensnared in one of the many traps that are out there. There is still a trial and a great deal of evidence to be presented, don't be surprised if the charges are dropped.

  7. the scheme is pretty simple, if he was involved in it then he obviously wasn't *THAT* smart.

  8. If Missouri was smart and really wanted to change things and create more economic opportunity we should be talking about real marijuana reform that would generated hundreds of millions in revenue. That's a lot more productive then a years long debate about the abortion ban.

  10. 10:57 the story from KSHB is all I have to go on and it says federal indictment for an alleged scheme to import Oregon marijuana into Missouri .... did I read that wrong?

  11. If legalizing marijuana will increase tax revenues, let's do the same for knockoff fentanyl. That would both increase revenues and help with that pesky overpopulation problem.

Finding new ways for politicians to separate citizens from their money should not be the primary goal.
