  1. Too many crimes and not enough beat cops!

  2. NoVa worked exactly as intended. It gave a few of the politically connected an easy salary. The fact that it was a waste of taxpayer funds is irrelevant.

There is very little that can be done that will actually have any effect on the crime rate short of saturating your poorest neighborhoods with police foot patrols (beat cops). The people living in those neighborhoods won't like it very much, but everyone else doesn't like the crime that seems to ooze from these neighborhoods.

If I were your mayor I would give the police chief everything that he wants regardless of money. Let him indulge his wish list, then see if it had any effect before I started claiming that too much money already goes to the police.

If you're going to falsely blame crime on the police, then unshackle the police. Don't make the Chief responsible for the crime & then refuse to give him the resources he says he needs to be effective.

Stop giving money to these alphabet soups & give the money directly to the police.

  5. And what about that health departments stupid aim for peace program? I bet it had about as much success!

  6. Still waiting for an answer,
doesn't "NOVA" translate as "It Doesn't Work"
    from Spanish to English?

that seems to be a ridiculous thing to say and that is not bc people living in those neighborhoods won't like it very much.
