CAN THEY FIX BROKE-ASS KANSAS CITY BLUE RIVER VALLEY CORRIDOR?!?!

Here's the latest plan for OVERWHELMING TAXPAYER SUBSIDY that might or might not attract new biz to a place that's been mostly abandoned.

Check the plan and tell us if it will work . . .

"The Blue Valley Industrial Association will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2020, underscoring the Blue River Valley Industrial Corridor’s (BRVIC) continuous operation as a business and employment region over many generations. The area’s experience of recent decades, however, has been of disinvestment, high unemployment and limited physical and economic mobility. It is an EDCKC economic development initiative to lead a deliberate, multi-year, jobs-based program to control, prepare and incent major new job sites to attract industries and companies that will engage with and assist in developing a neighborhood-centered workforce."

Take a look:

You decide . . .

  1. 100 years ago, people boated from parks on that river. If they can clean it up to accomplish that again, it would attract more investment. Speaking of clean-up, I wonder if PortKC knows that the MO Riverfront between 435 and the Blue River is a Superfund site filled with toxic waste.
