5 injured in boat explosion at Lake of the Ozarks
MORGAN COUNTY, MO (KCTV) - Five people were injured when there was a boat explosion at the Lake of the Ozarks. According to MSHP records, the incident happened at 2:18 p.m. on Saturday at the Millstone Marina's gas dock. The 1993 Chris Craft had just been filled with fuel when the driver started its engine.
It blew because the station attendant leaned on the nozzle, breaking the gas tank filler tube. Filled the bottom of boat with gas and fumes. Boom on startup! Fill you own boats to be safe.
