One of the mobility-related issues that has come up in the debates for the June 18th KCMO Mayoral and City Council election is the idea of a city-level Department of Transportation, or DOT. It's an idea that we have been researching and studying for some time now.

Here's an argument that might cost taxpayers big bucks but serves as a vision of local transit AFTER the election via talking points. Sadly, the idealized interpretation of how City Hall should work reveals very little insight into how 12th & Oak really functions. Checkit:

"The ABCs of a DOT for KC" is the "XYZ" of how Eric Bunch plans to steal another $150 million Tax dollars from KC.

I am not voting for Jolie Justus specifically because of her chumminess with David Johnson. I do not disagree with his position but I heavily disagree with his lack of savvy with people. He should not be elevated and Justus might do that.
Justus is a bad choice as is Eric Bunch. Remember you can not vote in Spandex tomorrow...called electioneering.
Bicyclists on busy streets designed for AUTOMOBILES should be considered targets of opportunity.
