TKC NEWS FACT: VOTERS HATE THE KANSAS CITY BIKE PLAN!!!

Let's keep rolling with a bit of insight into how news is manufactured by way of agenda and now fact.

As always, facts first . . .

COUNCIL SHUT DOWN THE KANSAS CITY BIKE PLAN BECAUSE RESIDENTS OVERWHELMINGLY EXPRESSED OPPOSITION TO THE SHODDY WORK FROM CYCLING ADVOCATES SO FAR!!!

Credit here goes to tax fighters and the valiant residents of Armour Blvd who angrily protested when the cycling community turned their otherwise beautiful urban core street into a public safety hazard.

Sadly, public radio doesn't talk to Midtown residents but only communicated with the hipsters inside their bubble. And so, today they're pushing this propaganda:

Advocates Dream Big On A New But Flexible Plan For Kansas City’s Cycling Future

Even a cursory look at the report reveals it's simply cribbed from Bike/Walk KC advocates after their defeat at City Hall.

Addressing Concerns about the New Bike Master Plan

^^^ The link above is mostly hype but based on a bold statement from the cycling advocates:

"If the City Council adopts this bike plan, it does not raise taxes, create a new funding source, or take money away from other pressing needs like housing or crime prevention."

WRONG!!!

- Bike advocates want GO BOND MONEY that's already running out quickly.

- They want E-TAX MONEY for the plan, too

- And they want City Hall to use resources looking for grants.

Of course, these rolling activists are entitled to advocate for whatever they like BUT they shouldn't be surprised when the get push back.

Developing . . .

Comments

  1. They used gobond money for the bike trails along blue river and swope park last year, the city was so proud of it they even had a sign anoouncing your gobond money at work.

  10. Can we reverse what has been done on Armour?

  11. Oh I hope and pray they leave Gladstone Blvd alone. Probably the best route in town for a cyclist about to be ruined just like they ruined armour.

Here is how to make city bike friendly:

Fix streets. Fill pot holes. Remove steel grates. Run street sweepers. Quit narrowing streets with bump out curbs.

Bike Lanes vex motorists even if no bike using it. False sense of security for cyclists. And have we abandoned"share the road" with this new expensive fad of separation of lanes??

    Thanks
