A Major Missouri GOP Donor Tells The Governor To Veto New Abortion Restrictions

One of the biggest donors for Missouri Republicans is calling on Gov. Mike Parson to veto the strict abortion regulations that lawmakers passed at the end of the 2019 session. If he doesn't, there could be a statewide ballot measure in 2020 to repeal them.

  3. The courts will rule it unconstitutional like they always do and this will fade away like all the other states who were dumb enough to pass it.

  4. "Ten" is the win! Revise the ban for ten weeks, and legit reasons to help the baby and preggo!5/24/19, 11:32 AM

Abortion being used as birth control by undisciplined types, and being paid for by taxpayers isn't Pro-Choice. It's abuse! It is posing health risks for one, and gouging the gubmint for unnecessary expenses.

I am not a Pro-Life purist. In cases of safeguarding the health of preg mother and/or baby, AND in cases of rape and/or incest, A SAFE, LEGAL ABORTION SHOULD BE AVAILABLE.

About that 8 weeks deadline. Most women know when 2 menstruation cycles are interrupted, but a 10 weeks cut-off would cover many who have those slightly longer flows (ugh! more profits to tampons and pads makers) and those who go past 28 to 31 days per cycle.

Liberals become outraged when immigrant kids are separated from their mothers.

Liberals don't care when kids are separated INSIDE their mothers.

    Hmmmm

A complete waste of time, that has nothing to do with solving any of the real problems facing Missourians.

  11. Parsons just signed into law a mandate to investigate miscarriages.

Since it's illegal to stop all pregnancies after 8 weeks, police must collect your medical records and interview anyone who lost a pregnancy and anyone with knowledge about that pregnancy. It will have to be a formal police investigation. Those grieving a miscarriage will have to prove to police it was natural. If they can not prove it, charges will be filed.

Good luck defending that in the next governors race.
