There was always too many homegrown mediocre Mexican restaurants to compete with as trendy decor never found a viable audience. Take a look:
Kansas City area loses at least two Qdoba Mexican Eats, including one in Westport
Corporate offices for Qdoba would not comment on the closings of at least two Kansas City area locations. File In late 2015, Qdoba Mexican Grill returned to Kansas City with great fanfare and a new name. As Qdoba Mexican Eats, it soon had four locations and later added more.
It’s easy to see why they failed.
ReplyDeleteThe name sounded too similar to the car called Córdoba.
It’s no longer made and people got them confused.
Rename is Paseo
Never considered it serious. You pass real Mexican restaurants on your way past one.

Gosh I love Italian food! Makes me hungry.
Going to Taco Bell!
Oh come on they could feed Kansass City Mo citizens dog shit with lettuce and salsa wrapped in a tortilla and the eaters would think wow this is as good as the stadium!
ReplyDeleteDamn, you redneck peckerwoods are uninformed. McDonalds hasn't owned any portion of Chipotle in over 10 years. It's amazing what stupid people will believe because they read it on the library's free internet.
ReplyDeleteThe food was far better before they reconfigured. We were really excited when Qdoba returned a few years ago, but the flavor and quality were way down.
ReplyDeleteWestport is shutting down, storefront by storefront.
ReplyDelete^^^ Because of the fags and koloreds that’s why
ReplyDeletePlenty of local Mexican food in this town; hopefully Guy Fieri's place suffers the same fate.
ReplyDeleteI got fed up with the "chit-chat" between the employees. And somewhere along the line they dumped a whole butt-load of hot pepper sauce on everything. Only "flavor" you could taste...
